Recycling Business Rebuilds with Support from Time Finance
Facility Type: Invoice Finance Facility
Region: South East
Facility Value: £1 Million Disclosed Invoice Finance Facility
Introduction to the Deal
Our client is a specialist waste management and recycling business based in Essex, with a focus on the safe and sustainable collection, processing, and disposal of various types of commercial waste. In September 2024, the business suffered a serious fire at its main site caused by the explosion of a lithium battery, which resulted in extensive damage to their inventory and buildings. Unfortunately, they did not have sufficient insurance to cover the losses incurred. This led to major cash flow problems, pressure from suppliers, and a significant drop in revenue. The business was already a customer of ours through our asset finance division. Due to the impact of the fire, the business was struggling financially and needed a tailored solution to support their plans to restructure and revive the business.
What We Did
Firstly, we worked closely with the management team to take a deeper look at the business’s finances, their assets, and existing contracts. After assessing the full picture of the businesses financial position, we were able to implement an invoice finance facility, which will help the business manage its daily cashflow position. By focusing on recovery and long-term sustainability, our funding solution will help the business regain stability, rebuild relationships, and position itself for future growth.
Outcome of the Deal
Our invoice finance facility has given this client the vital working capital needed to keep the company running. Most importantly, the facility has helped protect jobs that were at risk of being lost. While the business has faced financial challenges, its core environmental mission remains the same. With the help of our funding, this newly restructured business has an opportunity to rebuild on a more stable footing and continue delivering essential environmental services to their local community.
